During Euro 2008 the Swiss railways instructed its workers to not use orange vests. The reason? Groups of Holland fans mistook their clothes for football kit and followed them onto railroad tracks, which resulted in chaos and was a danger to the fans.

Stadium Shakhtar in Donetsk

The new facility in Donetsk, built by the owner by the local team Shakhtar Donetsk, Rinat Akhmatov, will be completed in mid-2009. The stadium resembles the modernised Benfiki Stadium in Lisbon. It will seat 50 thousand spectators. In UEFA categories it will belong to the highest, ‘Elite' category, until now said to be as five-star standard. During the EURO 2012 Championship, group, quarterfinal and semi-final matches will be held here.
