Until the end of January, more than 90% of the assumed number of participants reported their access to the project. In the Pomeranian Province, all 500 of the planned places have been taken. Those who have enrolled include, among others, public transport employees, municipal police officers, workers of ticket offices at stations, personnel of hotels, restaurants, museums, emergency rescue teams, and conductors. In the Masovian Province, 690 out of 720 planned people have already joined the project. These are, among others, employees of railways and public transport as well as of commerce and catering industry. In the Lower Silesian Province 670 out of 720 people have signed up including employees of the catering and commerce sector, paramedics, railway and airport employees, municipal police, customs chamber, city hall, Marshal's office, or employees of public transport. In the Greater Poland Province, the trainings commenced in October and were participated by 490 out of 560 of the assumed number.'Substantial interest in the project confirms the necessity to conduct such trainings for employees of so-called public services not only because of the Championships drawing near. The Euro Academy also provides its participants with an opportunity to raise their professional qualifications free-of-charge which is of importance for them not only during Euro 2012, but also in their future professional life,' says Monika Jakubiak, the PL.2012 Strategic Director of Euro Academy.
The trainings will continue until the end of 2012. By Euro 2012, the total of 2,5 thousand people will have been trained. The invitation for participation in the project is extended to all people working along the so-called communication route of tourists and fans expected to visit Poland during the Tournament. These are, in particular, employees of the railway, city, and air transport as well as those employed in catering, commerce, and tourist information outlets.
