During EURO 2012 many crucial venues for the organisation of the Tournament will be located in Poland. The items to be listed in this respect are stadiums, fan zones, airports and railway station in each Host City and places outside the Host Cities (border crossings, team camps, domestic transportation). In order to assure the security and services of the appropriate quality, it is necessary to integrate the operational plans and management processes which will ensure the correct functioning under all conditions – at the level of each area, city and nationwide. The starting point is to develop an operational plan for the event on the national scale – this will be completed by the end of January and will integrate key information and guidelines for detailed operational plans. By 30 March 2012 detailed operational plans will have been developed.
In accordance with the existing assumptions, Poland is to achieve the condition of operational readiness by 15 May 2012. The next 4.5 months will be the time of integration and detailing the operational plans and establishing command centres operating at the national and city level.
The standards of the operational plans and management structures for the Tournament will be developed by a Team managed by the Ministry of the Interior and PL.2012, in collaboration with other key stakeholders (Host Cities, other ministries, UEFA).
