Formula for the new terminal

The work invested in the construction of the new terminal cannot be expressed by any formula. And yet, one of the best ways to present its unique character is to use numbers.

The new terminal is 4 times larger than the old one, can handle 2 times more passengers and its cubic volume is that of 330 thousand cubic meters, which makes it the biggest among the regional airports in Poland. Inside, there are 12 gates, 22 ticket and baggage check-in stations, 13 elevators, 2 independent baggage carousels, 7 security checkpoints and 3 CCTV stations equipped with 24 screens, 36 inches each, that display the view from 400 video cameras.

The hall covers an area of 1700 square meters under original, wavy roof, which has 19 000 square meters. In front of the terminal, on the apron there is a place for 16 airplanes, while the whole airport can handle up to 30 of them. Broad commercial offer is represented by 4,5 thousand square meters of trade and service space and 1100 parking spots. Around the terminal, 30 thousands of trees and bushes have been planted.

Morever, invisible to the naked eye, is almost 600 km of cables, 45 km of different types of pipes and over 9 thousand square meters of glass used to build this grand facility.
