Organization of the Euro tournament is not only stadium construction and road network expansion, but also a serious teleinformatic undertaking. It consists in servicing media, telephony, Internet access and the entire teleinformatic infrastructure at stadia (security systems and management of complex electronics systems such as the public address system, lighting, and entrance gates). ICT - Information and Communication Technology - is involving itself in just this area of preparations for Euro 2012.

An example of a project connected with ICT is the call center to operate during the tournament. It is necessary to define the area of operations and create an IT system which will be linked to many other systems: the crisis management center and its Ukrainian counterpart, databases with tourist information, service information, and information about the football tournament itself. Preparation of the teleinformatics sphere for the Euro is tight collaboration with UEFA, along with Ukraine of not only PL.2012 but also operators and telecommunications regulators.

Poland's preparations for Euro 2012 is also a chance for change on the telecommunications market. This is related to infrastructure and services (such as Internet access) in those areas where access is presently inadequate. It is also a chance for the development of new technologies, and quickening of their implementation and promotion (such as digital television made accessible for users via various technologies or location services).
