ratownictwoFootballers and fans must have guaranteed medical care. This encompasses the help of rescue workers at stadia, access to first aid for those falling ill during the tournament, hospital care for those with life-threatening conditions and those injured in accidents.

The role of the medical care coordinator is oversight and coordination of all undertakings relating to medical care, rescue work, and crisis management and civilian defense in areas relating to the rescue of life and health. The coordinator works in close collaboration with the Fire Brigade, Airport Emergency Rescue, medical and rescue services operating at airports, and other rescue services functioning in Poland. In host cities, coordinators for medical care have been selected. Cooperation has been establishes with, among others, the Ministries of Health, Interior and Administration, and National Defense.

At the behest of UEFA, a detailed analysis of the current health care and rescue service has been prepared. Work on plans for ensuring medical care and rescue services in particular spheres is presently ongoing.
