REPORT ON THE READINESS OF THE RECOMMENDED CENTRES TO HOST THE NATIONAL TEAMS DURING EUROPEAN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS UEFA EURO 2012TM Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Euro 2012 guests must have a place to sleep. This goes both for teams, UEFA delegations and sponsors as well as for fans. For this reason a hotel base is being developed. UEFA's experience shows that not only fans with tickets come for matches but also a large number of those who simply want to be in the cities where matches are being held. Special fan zones will be constructed for them, which will have a combined capacity exceeding three times that of a stadium. The hosts are also responsible for guaranteeing sleeping places for VIP guests. At present Warsaw, Kraków and Gdańsk have an adequate number of such rooms. There is a lack of such rooms in Poznań, Wrocław and Chorzów, where the numbers are the worst. New hotel construction is planned in all of the host cities. |
